1966 Porsche 912 Additional Info:
This is a beautiful 1966 Porsche 912 up for sale! This is a rust free California/Colorado vehicle with tons of documentation and receipts to go along with it. This is a gorgeous automobile that turns heads everywhere it goes. It runs like new, owner drives it regularly! This is a 3-gauge 912 with the optional 5-speed manual transmission! See the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity pictured below.
This Porsche lived in the San Francisco Bay Area until the early 1990s when it came to Colorado. Many tens of thousands of dollars have been spent by the current owner to bring the car to its current glory, and it really shows.
New period-correct engine cost the owner over $10,000 and runs like a dream!Transmission shiftssmoother than silk.We aren't certain if it is the original transmission from the factory in 1965, but the 5-speed manual was optional for the 1966 model year, and this car's got it! Make no mistake that this is not a show car in its current state, but rather, an extremely clean driver quality 912. Equipped with the original wood steering wheel and gear shifter!
Five brand new Goodyear tires (it was sold new with Goodyears). Rust free car. Front pan has been replaced - very common rust issue on these cars - although this one was replaced due to a battery acid spillage - but all the same, this car won't ever have that issue again and is totally rust-free underneath. Wheels have been re-chromed. Interior has been gone through by Auto Trim Specialists in Denver. Very rare power sunroof installed in 1981 by American Sunroof in San Francisco. The current odometer reading is 03672 and is inoperable - a rather common glitch on these vehicles. The gauges are all in proper working order.
This is a beautiful machine and I've tried to capture the most honest picturespossible - to include the flaws (a few hairline cracks underneath the paint on the boot and evidence of body work on the windshield cowl panel were the biggest flaws I saw with this stunning car). Local inspections are welcomed and encouraged prior to your bid. Please do not hesitate to ASK if you need me to take additional pictures of something specific for you. Questions? The current owner of this Porsche is neighbors with the owner of my dealership and has asked us to sell this AND a 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabrioletfor him. Check out the 911, it's currently listed on eBay as well! We are a licensed Colorado dealer, but we do not charge any dealer handling fees! Unless you plan to register the vehicle in Colorado, there will be no sales tax collected by us either.
We are Auto Source, LLC! We've been eBay members since 2001 and are proud of our 100% positive feedback! We do just about anything for our customers, all you have to do is ask!
Shipping/Transportation:
The vehicle is located in Denver, Colorado and transportation is the sole responsibility of the buyer. However, we will certainly make ourselves available to accommodate your transportation arrangements, or can provide you with pickup from Denver International Airport. We regularly use and highly recommend Diamond Express Transportation (719-593-7770) if you'd like to have the 912 shipped. A $500 nonrefundable deposit is due through PayPal within 24 hours of your winning bid. As far as the balance goes, we will need certified funds before releasing vehicle or title, and the issuing bank needs to be in your home state as well as Colorado (i.e. Chase, Wells Fargo, US Bank, etc.)
Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
