1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Additional Info:
1989 Porsche 911(964) Carrera 4 - Only 28,600 miles all original Garage Kept Time Capsule
Bowing in late 1988 for the '89 model year, the Porsche Carrera 4 looked similar to the most recent 911 barring smoother bumpers and side sills. The outer shell with this car may have deceived more than usual, as this car has been suggested to be a direct descendant of the unforgettable and remarkable twin-turbo 959, the "C4" was termed by at least one commentator as the "people's 959.”
Part of the new-for-1989 K Series program, the Carrera 4 (Type 964) was presented with all-wheel drive, ABS four-wheel disc brakes, coil spring suspension and numerous aerodynamic improvements which ushered in the next generation of the 911. Although Porsche continued with the distinctive body design, approximately 85-percent of the 964’s parts were new.
The car being offered is presented in red with a black interior ( All launch editions in 1989 were Red/Black ) and runs with a horizontally-opposed 3.6-liter, 247-hp six-cylinder engine with a five-speed manual gearbox. This is a well-equipped car that has air conditioning, radio, power steering, brakes and windows. This special machine has been driven little. The first owner did the "Tourist Delivery" and kept the car 2 years and traded it back to the dealer. The second owner bought the car from the same dealer and kept it until spring of last year (2015) when I purchased it. All Manuals, Tools and lots of service records and documents from new also are included.
If you've beenlooking for a first year Carrera 4 you should really consider this car. It's probably the nicest one on the market right now and itsfreshly serviced, detailed and ready to be enjoyed by the next owner.
