For sale is a very clean, well built 1972 Porsche 914 converted to -6. It began its life as a 914-4 and was converted to -6 specification for race use. The 2.2L air-cooled flat six has been extensively modified with 40mm Weber carburetors, crank fire ignition, and a front oil cooler, and is fed from a nine gallon fuel cell. The side shift transmission is mated to a puck clutch, with the braking system benefitting from the addition of 911 vented discs mated to five lug hubs, stainless steel brake lines, and a 19mm master. Bushings have been upgraded to Delron bushings and weight has been brought down to 1900 pounds with the help of fiberglass decks. The interior of this 914-6 features a full cage, racing seats with five-point harnesses, an over-sized Autometer tach, and camera mounts. This vehicle is intended for track use only and is not street legal.
