Rare 1967 Porsche 911S Targa.
Chassis number 500XX4S, rare soft-window Targa version of Porsche’s 911S. Very collectable, the first year of the high performance “S” sport model and the first year of the soft-window Targa, offering a detachable plastic window for convertable like driving experience with the safety and stability of a roll bar. Only 483 911S Targas were produced in 1967.
Finished in Polo Red with a black vinyl interior with unique S trim. This Porsche was originally purchased at Auto-Ressel in Wiesbaden, Germany on 03/17/1967 by Mr. Billo. From Mr. Billo it went to Mr. Rogers of Heidelberg, Germany.
It started its life with engine # 961497. On 11/28/1969 at 70.000 KM, Porsche replaced the engine with engine # K.D.P 961393 as documented on the kardex. Now it has 1967 911S engine # 961299, period correct, but not matching. The transmission is also period correct with 901/02.
