1974 Porsche 914 Additional Info:
This is a true 27,000 mile survivor 914 Porsche. This car was found in a garage stored since 1984. I purchased it and cleaned it up. The title is from the original owner. The window sticker and original purchase agreement comes with the car. As well as the HO campaign recall letter. The mileage can be verified with the intact 1984 inspection sticker with mileage documented on the back. The gas tank was cleaned, new fuel lines were installed under the tank, at the fuel pump and all lines were replaced across the engine via Auto Atlanta kit. The fuel pump was replaced with a universal, however the original was retained for the new owner to have rebuilt. A new muffler was installed and will require a right side exhaust manifold. The original paint is bright and shiny with only light polishing. There are some spots of Very Minor Surface rust. The truck lid has some dents from setting stuff on it over the years, I believe a good paintless dent repair shop could do wonders with it. I felt it should be up to the new owner to whether they would want them touched up. The interior and rubber weather stripping is soft and supple with no cracks in seats, door panels, dash or targa pad. The car did not come with a radio and a radio shack radio was installed (I have warranty card for it) lol. The structure of the car is SOLID. I removed seats for inspection of pans and longs that you see in photos. Minimal surface rust in the hell hole. Some surface rust under hood around strut towers due to mouse nests. Engine starts and runs well. Clutch is very strong. Transmission shifts as it should. Brakes work great except with one sticky caliper on left rear. I sandblasted, etch primed, 2k primed, and painted the wheels with wurth wheel paint and installed new Michelin’s from Coker. The spare still has the original Michelin. I welcome anyone to look at the car or send a third party to inspect it. I will help load with a shipper of your choosing. Please do not bid if you don’t intend on completing purchase. I will require a $500 deposit within 48 hours of auctions end and full payment via cash in hand or certified check within 7 days.
