1988 Porsche 924 Additional Info:

Hi selling one of my beloved Porsche’s. It does has some “issues” unfortunately my friend, car club member, and mechanic is fighting cancer and is unable to help. and I know my limitations and can’t address them. First the odometer never worked and the car shows 127000 I estimate I put maybe 10K a year but I’m calling 175000. Next, the windshield is cracked and the wipers don’t work. I Think it’s the switch on the steering wheel but it may be just the relay. The power steering pump just started to whine, not sure if it’s a lose belt or bearings. The transmission leaks about a pint every 6-8 weeks or so, not sure if it’s the seal or something else. It doesn’t slip jus when is low on fluid lurches at stop signs. We put a new (used one) when I purchased the car about 3 years ago. The old one would leak empty in hours and is what sidelined the car where sat in a garage for about 10 years. When I bought it, It didn’t run and needed a lot of work, which I enjoyed doing! It has served me well but I’m concerned something is going to give and I’d rather have someone eles take it who can better address things. It’s to nice a car not to be on the road. Please be advised this is a PROJECT! It starts and runs the brakes are good, we rebuilt them and added a new fuel pump when I bought the car. The timing belt and water pump were changed out about a year ago. Please feel free to ask me anything And or take additional picutes also note the car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
