1987 Porsche 924S S Additional Info:
1987 Porsche 924S. Nice clean low mile survivor car that drives great. The Porsche Club and other magazines have been runningarticles almost monthly on the merits of the light Front engine 924 and later transaxle cars. These cars are being recognized as tohow great they drive and have been climbing in value over the last few years. This particular car has some factory history and hasbeen invited to display at both Rennsport and Carmel Concourse on the Avenue. This is a great way to be involved in manyautomotive related activities at a reasonable price.
The 924S is basically a 944 narrow body as it has the Porsche 944 drivetrain and five lug suspension. These are fairly rare as onlyimported for two years.
The car has a clean California Title and a recent transferable California smog check good to 4/8/2019. Registration good to 1/2020.

The timing and balance shaft belts were replaced about five thousand miles agoalong with the head being treated to a valve job.Aconsiderable amount of service work has been done over the last few years to make the car solid and reliable. Work that has beendone includes: new Factory Sachs clutch, clutch fluid and brake fluid flushed, new transmission oil, new oil and filter, new gas filterand fuel pump, new injector, new air filter, new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, Crank sensor replaced, AC recharged, battery removedcleaned and inspected around battery tray which has original paint still intact, replaced Tires which now have about 3,000 miles ontwo, and two tires only have a two hundred miles on them. Recent Battery, headliner was replaced, rebuilt alternator, new brakepads, and front Rotors. Bilstein Front struts installed. New rear hatch seal and gas struts replaced on hatch and hood. I have receipts for much of the work, but not all, with receipts as farback as 2003. A/C blows cold and has been updated and converted to run on R134 freon. Sunroof works.
The car drives great and has delivered 27 mpg on freeway along with lively performance as the car is very light with the weight closeto 2,500 pounds being an early car. I have primarily used the car for Porsche Club Fun Runs in our local region.
The car is over thirty years old so it is not perfect, but is a very decent surviving California car with only 83XXX miles. There is noevidence of any accidents, rust, or corrosion. Paint would probably benefit from professional polish and care. Please review thepictures carefully as they are to be considered part of the description.
Issues noted with the car. The paint is original with the exception of the hood where you can see a layer of primer and red as it wasrubbed through in a spot, and it appears one front fender may have been repainted based on paint chips under the hood on the fender lip. There is a shallow dent in the driver side rear fender that may come out with dent pro service but does not seem to show up in pictures well. The dash has a couple of cracks, butotherwise nice looking and has dash cover on it. No Radio. The Tach is intermittent, the Tach lights are out. The rest of the gageswork. The seats are in nice condition with no rips or tears, but some sign of use, so again not perfect, but very decent. Rear carpetappears to be faded slightly. The paint appears slightly faded. The bumpers have been modified to get the clean original Europeanstyling.
No reserve, so bid to win! Good luck bidding. I have multiple sports cars and want to reduce the collection size to please my wife, ok there was an automotiveintervention and I was told to reduce car count is the reason the car is being offered for sale at such a lowstartingprice.
