This 1987 911 Carrera Cabriolet, is a very nice vehicle. The car has been serviced and cared for by a very skilled shop in SLC, UT. I know there are a fair number of Porsche 911s to look at and choose from available for sale. However, this one is priced very competitively. This vehicle has no excuses as it is a very nice car. This Carrera drives, looks and sounds great.
Recent service and maintenance were performed and it has been kept in use, not just parked, by making sure it was driven around the block; started up; warmed up to keep it operating well. This Carrera has a clear title search including but not limited to CARFAX reports. This Carrera is a very nice car overall, and could be driven home to anywhere. If you are looking for a VERY clean 911 with ALL the essentials done, this is it. It had some service needs.
Car has no upgrades except for the stereo.
The car has been serviced from the front to the rear with no known issues. All records are orginazed into a binder, that will go to the new owner.
This car is ready to jump in and just drive with no worries.
My driving impression are as follows:
Car runs well. The suspension system looks and drives as an excellent condition car should. The driveshaft is quiet. The car runs smoothly and pulls nicely. The engine is quiet and smooth and the transmission and clutch shift flawlessly. No unexplained noises.
Recently, Car had a compression and leak down test performed by myself when I changed out the spark plugs of the engine. results were:
Cylinder #1 161psi with 3% Leakdown
Cylinder #2 164psi with 2.5% Leakdown
Cylinder #3 162psi with 3% Leakdown
Cylinder #4 160psi with 3% Leakdown
Cylinder #5 159psi with 3.5% Leakdown
Cylinder #6 163psi with 3% Leakdown
Aside from the excellent compression and leakdown numbers, what really sets this 1987 Porsche 911 apart from many of the others you see is the low milage and solid mechanical condition.
The Bad:
I just don't have time to drive it. It is not a concours car, but it is a solid driver. It will provide many more years of good driving. The drivers seat shows some weat consistent with the age.
This 911 can be picked up with a car carrier easily on location and I will help to arrange loading 24-7 at no cost. It should only cost about $350 to ship this to Southern California, $600 to Texas, $700 to Chicago, and about $800-$1000 to most East Coast locations if not less. I can also provide some carrier names that can deliver this vehicle if you are interested. You can just as easily fly in and drive home.
I have dozens more pictures if you like, I would be happy to email them to you. Please let me know if you have any questions. We allow and encourage PPI by any shop of your choice and expense.
