Introducing “Betty” (this is the name our daughters gave the car). In my opinion the most beautiful 356 Replica I’ve ever seen, and I looked for a couple of years before buying.
This car was built by John Steele of JPS Motorsports in North Hollywood, CA.
https://www.jps-motorsports.com/ I’ve spoken to John at length about this car. It was one of his favorite builds.
I bought the car from the 2nd owner in Pennsylvania who owned the car for a short time and didn’t drive it much. The original owner, from California, had designer Elvis Restaino work directly with JPS to create this stunning replica. The exterior color is radium green and the chocolate brown distressed seats give it a really authentic and classic look. The car has its own blog that’s still up today: http://www.erievillemanor.com/blog/tag/leather-hood-straps/
This is not your average replica from Vintage Speedsters or another cookie cutter shop. This was carefully designed, with the very best of everything, in an effort to create a stunning but functional vehicle.
The build for this car was in excess of $50,000.
Unique items:
· 2332 cc Engine Upgrade by GEM VW – 125HP $2,500
· Pro-Street Transmission Upgrade $850
· Replica Racing Wheels – Chrome with Knockoff $1,200
· Hood Straps $125
· Carrera Decklid & Screen
· Italian Upholstered Seats $5,000
· Rear Euro Guards & front over rider bar $3,500
· Porsche Badges
· Carrera & Speedster Emblems
· Headlight Grills
· German Square Weave Carpet
· Modern Radio/Speakers/CD and iPod Connection – we use the iPod – it’s Velcro attached to the dash.
I bought the car in July of 2017 with 5,752 miles. I’ve put 511 miles on it in just over a year. I bought the car to leave at our beach house in Maine. We enjoyed 1.5 summers with her, but just sold the beach place, so Betty has no real purpose for us moving forward.
She was serviced recently at Stuttgart Northeast https://stuttgartnortheast.com/ I’ve known Jim the owner for years as we own several real Porsches. He’s an air cooled expert and he tuned the carbs, did a full service along with an oil and filter change.
Car is ready to go. Be advised it is titled as a 1970 Volkswagen Beetle, because that’s the pan and the vin# that gets used on these builds. Everything else is new build.
Happy to discuss the car – just send me a message through Ebay contact seller.
She’s beautiful and I’m confident you’ll enjoy her as much as we have.
