1975 Porsche 914 Additional Info:
1975 1.8L with L-Jet fuel injection. 40k original miles. Original Light Ivory paint, with an exterior respray about 10 years ago.
When I purchased the car, it had the dealer installed air conditioning. I had the air conditioning parts removed, and had all the engine and front trunk sheet metal (Restoration Design) professionally replaced and repaired where the condenser and parts used to be. Work was done by Yeaman Autobody in Palo Alto, CA, known 914 experts. (See pictures of front trunk). Car is now restored to the way it was from the factory before the dealer hack job.
Also, since I bought it two years ago:
Converted front and rear to five bolt Fuchs, 16x6'sNew wheel bearings
Rear shocks: Bilstein Sports with 140lb springsFront Shocks: KoniNew german loop black carpet and CoCo mats
NOS OEM dash coverNardi steering wheelNew 911 starterNew fuel pumpCustom brushed aluminum dash plateStainless steel brake and fuel linesNew shift bushings
What I haven't had a chance to fix:Interior light between seats doesn't come on when door is openedSome surface oxidation in rear trunk from exhaust fumesHose from spare tire to windshield washer leaks air
Other notes:Seat bolsters are original, but seat pads look like they were re-upholstered at some point.Car runs and drives as you would expect a low-mileage car like this. When I bought it, it had a number of electrical gremlins from sitting around for most of its life. These have all been sorted and I was using it as my daily driver briefly before I recently had a baby and had to get something with a back seat.
