Original 1970 Porsche 914 equipped with a factory 1.7L 4 cylinder engine original fuel injection and a 5 speed manual transmission.
This has been a Washington vehicle for most of its life has not been licensed since 1992 stored in a barn lean-too building the sill plates inside the doors you can jump up and down on them there solid as a rock. This car is not saggy it's not a bondo over piece of crap that you see mostly listed here on eBay it's a solid project there is not a lot of major rust or rot compared to the ones I have seen listed here. This car had Factory undercoating applied early on at the dealer and I think coupled with it being a Washington state car most of it's life it helped out a lot in preventing rust. This Porsche is all stock and original, no huge dents or major damage there are dings scrapes and light damage please see pictures. The car was repainted once in the early 70's or early80s? Please see pictures.there are only 2 areas on the car where I could find rust please see pictures. There is rust starting on the passenger upper door jamb on the top edge then a small rust hole in the jamb at the bottom edge then rust on the rocker cover on the passenger side. That side of the car faced the weather under the lean-too. Then rust spot under the battery box, most the tray misdiagnosed and one quarter sized hole. All the floor pans top and bottom seen to be solid no holes I removed all the carpet because I was bombarded with questions and I pulled the listing and changed it so I could show the orange paint on the floor boards. The front and rear trunks are all solid with the drain hole still in place. The undercoating seemed to help this car quite a bit.
The interior is worn, has rips and tears please see pictures. All of the glass is in good shape no cracks, please see pictures. The gauges seem to work good, true mileage unknown. The dash has splits, cracks, please see pictures. The headlight knob came off but I have it. Headlights open and close nicely the front and rear trunk open and close nicely the engine compartment will open nicely and closes nicely however the cable it's really hard pull to get it to open and most the time I just use a pair of pliers to open up to pull the rod latches it. the locks don't work properly one broken handle on the passenger side I'm afraid to try to lock the vehicle because I can't get it open cuz I don't have a key and sometimes when you close the doors you can't get them open from the outside, when I got the car I did not have a key so I had to have have a key made it fits the ignition and doesn't fit the side doors. Some of the signal lenses have cracks / damage, please see pictures.
-There is oil in the crankcase and the engine turns over but did not mess with it or start it.
