1989 Porsche 928 Authentic GT Additional Info:
History of the car:
The car has had five or six owners since new, including me for the last three years and 4K miles driven. It was originally a corporate leased vehicle around Philly, but quickly transferred south. It won car shows in NC, SC and GA several years ago. A Porsche celebrity is supposedly a prior owner.
I bought it from a private museum in Southern California. The documentation that comes with this car is truly extensive. Wikipedia does a fine job of highlighting the 928. It indicates the GT to be even more rare than the GTS, to which it is the precursor with almost identical performance, yet at half the price. Hagerty has indicated a 6-7% annual value appreciation for the 928, and higher for the GT.
Condition:
The timing belt, water pump, tensioner sand rollers are recently replaced. The clutch is pretty new. The AC was updated by Porsche 120 miles ago. Every fluid and part needed to have this car in ‘perfect’, obsessive/compulsive shape, I’ve done. I think I have about $15K in service work completed. You’ll need to do zero.
I can supply references to a qualified buyer. There are no rips, untoward cracks, tears, stains or warping anywhere in the interior. The tires are almost new Michelin Pilot Sports. The Original wheels go with, as does the original radio. I’ve installed a Blaupunkt Toronto BT.
The tools are all there, two sets of keys, manuals, spare tire and associated pump and equipment, and the hatch shade is very nice. I think I got a bra with it, but no guarantees. Battery tender hooked up.
