1975 Porsche 911 Carerra Additional Info:
Fantastic 1975 Porsche 911 "True" Carerra. One of the best in the world. Just serviced at a local Porsche Specialty Shop and I told them do 100% of anything the car neededand gave them a open checkbook. An oil change (Mobil1 Racing) and an A/C charge? (The A/C system blows ice cold) My bill was only $287? Damn. Pretty impressive for a 42 year old car. I will say the ONLY item not working is the seat belt buzzer. The owner of the shop said it was in the "Top 3" cars ever brought into his shop for service and needs absolutely nothing but a new owner.I'm a long time PCA member and at my first event received a score of 244.1 out of a possible 245 points. Paint is perfect. Interior is perfect. Just nuts gorgeous. Look at the Certificate of authenticity for the somewhat rare options list. I do have all of the stock parts to be put back on the car in the new owner wishes. A local Porsche dealer during an event told me if I put the car back to 100% stock, it could be showed on any sponsored lawn event in the country and win! I bought it because of how the updates look. Kinda like a RS or "Tribute" car but is the genuine real deal (assembled by Porsche).Classic guards red with the "original" black leather sports seats. First year of the "Whale Tail Spoiler". Factory sunroof, power windows, headlight washers and a power antennae. Infamous numbers matching 2.7L engine with 5-speed transmission, bilstein shocks, H4 headlamps, european rear light lenses and functioning front oil cooler. Weltmeister adjustable front sway bar, adjustable rear torsion bar and rear sway bar. Danske stainless steel exhaust and heat exchangers.Car was completely refreshed by a professional restoration company in North Carolina. Mechanical updates include updated A/C compressor and condenser, fan and motor, new oil and fuel lines, rear brake rotors, brake caliper kits, Weltmeister stainless steel piston kits for front brake calipers, OEM brake pads and Super Blue brake fluid, axle shafts with joints and boots, shift linkage kit and couplers, chain tensioners, voltage regulator, distributor cap, rotor and points, fuel accumulator, fuel pump, Bosch High Performance Platinum heavy duty spark plugs, new battery with a disconnect switch for storage. All new deck lid shocks - front and rear.Interior Updates include Rennline aluminum door handles, locks and pin, aluminum shift knob and e-brake handle, accelerator, clutch and brake pedals. Kenwood radio with CD and USB Interface stereo system using the factory loud speakers. Pristine "never any holes cut" in the front door panels for new modern style speakers like most I've seen. All factory interior finishes and materials. Spectacular interior on this car.Michelin 15" tires (4). Front 195 65 R15. Rear 215 60 R15. Porsche inlay gold wheel centers and horn pad center (added). Porsche custom coco and/or Lloyd floor mats and rear deck lid mat (logo embroidered).Touch Up Paint (Guards Red). Porsche 911 Workshop Manual.Vehicle exterior mostly ALL ORIGINAL PAINT excluding the RS Bumpers (front / rear) and rocker panels. Car exterior looks almost brand new. All the OEM Parts are included. Front and rear bumpers (original paint), rocker panels (new paint), factory exhaust system, Blaupunkt Radio (restored), factory sway bars front and rear and miscellaneous interior parts and trim pieces.I was told that I'm the 4th owner of the Vehicle. It is an original Georgia car purchased in 1975 from the now defunct Northlake Porsche Audi (the original pre-delivery inspection tag is still attached to the fuse box under the hood!). The second owner was an enthusiast/collector and the owner of a professional vehicle restoration company in North Carolina who refreshed this car for himself, not for a customer. The 3rd owner was a retired SCAA racer from the 70's and 80's and installed all the suspension updates as well as interior ones too. This car has never been tracked although it's set up for Porsche track days. I purchased the car in February 2016 from his estate. We couldn't find any previous records but the car was in such perfect condition, I still paid a premium price for it. It has performed flawlessly since then. Engage the manual choke, turn the key and it always starts right up with not a single puff of oil smoke, first time. The only reason I'm selling is because of my health. I was diagnosed with the big "C" last fall and am continuing my fight to beat it. Additional photos may be available for serious inquires. I fully encourage a pre-purchase inspection for any qualified buyers at your expense. I will try to answer any questions in a timely manner. I don't need to sell this car so if it doesn't hit the reserve price, I'll keep it for as long as I can and watch the value steadily increase. These cars are climbing up in value and this car is of investment grade quality, I assure you. Best of luck with the auction.
