1990 Porsche 911 C2 Additional Info:
964 C2 with LSD, sports seats and manual transmission - the only options you ever need from the factory: Selling my964which I have owned since 2010, and purchased from Minneapolis with 102,000 miles - it had a top end rebuild done (with modifications of heads to later design - valve job & re-ring pistons - machined top of cylindersfor head gasket)at 95,000 miles by Henry Luft, (Seattle mechanic who moved there ). Nicknamed her Gina, after the velvet red lipstick color reminded us of Gina Lollobrigida :-) The color leans towards a burgundy (as opposed to a brighter red (like guards red). It has just a few options, namely sports seats and limited slip differential (plus a few more detailed below).964is last of the hand-built Porsches. Apparently they were 700 man-hours to build :-)
Options:
C02 = catalytic convertor
158 = Radio "Monterey" 86 "Reno" 87
220 = LSD
286 = High Intensity Windscreen Washer
288 = Headlight Washers
383 = Sport Seat - Left
387 = Sport Seat - Right
454 = Cruise Control
494 = 2 speakers on back shelf
850 = ? perhaps floormats or a lifestyle package
It is riding on 17" Cup 1 wheels which are aftermarket Mille Miglia with summer tires, and a set of black powder coated 16" D90's (with winter tires) come with it. Tires have no more than 2000 miles on them.
It has stock suspension upgraded with H&R coilover set. It has WEVO engine mounts. It also has a Steve Wong chip, and a 'Porsche Motorsport style' front sway bar (also by Steve Wong) as shown in the pics. Flag mirrors removed (but come with car) and have a set of Vitaloni mirrors on the car for 6 years now. Much better look and in practice function very well. There is a Dansk G-pipe which really sounds great (8-Horsepower Increase + 25 Pounds Lighter, More Sound + replaces secondary muffler - which comes with the car). All mods are easily reversible. Space saver spare tire is in the car as is the tool kit. New alternator put in last fall, new battery, as well as rebuilding clutch pedal assembly
In good condition for 131k mile car - it does have some wear and scuffing on the drivers seat left bolster as well as some road rash on front bumper area - both are shown in the pics. Drives perfectly - just came back from an event in West Virginia, and the car was made for twisty alpine roads. After 1200 mile trip, it had not burned any oil, and while there are some little drips around the rear main seal, it only happens when the car has not been used in a good while - this is common to all these 911's. Great torquey engine with a wide powerband. Radio was already out when i got it, so I put in an Alpine radio but never really use it to be honest - listen to engine sounds most of the time.
This car is always garaged and is driven mostly on weekends or on trips like the one to West Virginia or up to VT or NH or Catskills or down to Hershey.No many C2's out there, and this is a great driver, with nice easily reversible mods, extra set of wheels, that looks sharp, and was always cared for. Also available for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if a local buyer purchases the car. Thanks, and feel free to ask any questions or have the car looked at (at your expense), by a competentPorsche shop that is familiar with 964's.
