Rolling 1966 912 Project without engine or transmission.
An affordable way to get the base for a 912/911 project. You could restore it back to original specs or have fun with it, there are a lot of possibilities with this car. Since it isn't "all original, numbers matching" it could be turned into something unique and custom and you wouldn't have to play the Porsche perfect restoration game if you don't want to. That was my thought with the car, but it's all a matter of taste. You could put 911 engine mounts in and build a one off short wheelbase "911" custom out of it. Or build a 912 hot rod with a "911R" styling, the 911R lights, etc.
Overall, the car is pretty solid, the floors appear to be original, which is amazing for a short wheelbase 66 912 or 911. Some metal work in the past, if you look closely at the front pan for example, but overall, it is a great foundation to start with.
The car is listed with a reasonable reserve, my plan is to sell it through this 7 day auction.
