1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Additional Info:
The ideal 911 will forever be a 5 Speed G-50 Coupe and this is a perfect example. It has been driven enough making this either the perfect trouble free daily driver or weekend warrior. This is a no issue car, get in and drive it, have a blast. Mechanically this car shines, with it being driven just enough to keep everything working and serviced properly making this 911 a great investment.
For those who don't spend every moment researching Porsches, this 1987 911 Carrera just looks like a beautiful example of the archetype pure sports car. But the die-hard Porsche people out there know how special it is to get an original 3.2 with G50 five-speed and Black / Black with Whaletail. But regardless of your level of enthusiast, you can recognize a great buy on a beautiful classic. This 911 is in amazing condition in and out. Recent tune-up performed including new spark plugs, air and fuel filters, replaced oil pressure gauge, adjusted timing and idle. This is a true driver’s car and has been maintained amazingly, and once driven you will understand why.
Cosmetically the Black/Black shines beautifully, with no major dents or scratches. It’s just been waxed. While the interior photos look as if the black is faded… I assure you that the black is black! The matching Black stock turbo fuchs wheels are what really set this 911 apart from the rest. Also, have "spinner" Porsche wheels from the 90's with decent tires for Winter storage that are included. Fitted car cover also included.
Exterior shines like a new car, paint is beautiful with little to no wear on the body. Engine and transmission run flawlessly and pull very nice through all the gears. No oil leaks or smoking. Pictures speak for them self, this 911 is ready to be driven by its new owner. The 3.2L starts first crank with no issues, has no leaks and is ready to be enjoyed. Receipts and Service Records all-inclusive in sale. G50 Performs flawlessly. Mobil1 oil change serviced every year since in my possession regardless of how little miles have been driven. Clean car fax and clean title, car is accident free and zero rust issues.
Porsche's race-ready sensibilities means the tachometer is directly in front of the driver. The rest of the instruments surround this in their own clearly marked pods to give you a comprehensive view of what's going on with the engine. While this 911 is obviously a driver's car, it doesn't skip on comfortable features. Interior is all Original, with upgraded racing-style steering wheel. Seats, dash, door panels, and everything else is 100% Original. Power windows work, sunroof works, all lights work, horn works, heat works, the A/C blows cold air. The A/C system was converted to 134A.
Lift the rear hatch, and see the best part of any 911. This is the original flat-six motor, and experts agree that you won't find a more reliable high-performance powerplant than the fuel-injected 3.2-liter Carrera engine. This one has the extra appeal performance note of an upgraded exhaust. 1987 is a pivotal year for 911 fans, because it was the introduction of the G50 five-speed transmission. This was a more robust gearbox base on which Porsche utilized to drive its sports car reputation right up until modern times. From a driver's standpoint it gives you the confidence to take this coupe out on the open road anytime the moment strikes you. This manual transmission allows you to get the most out of the motor as you pilot the lightweight Porsche on your favorite desolate highway. Combine this with Porsche's legendary steering feedback, four-wheel disc brakes, and grippy Bridgestone Potenza tires, and this classic 911 will teach you why it's an icon with every mile.
