1983 Porsche 911 Additional Info:
In a sea of backdates and hotrods we rarely see something new or different,yet a targa.
So heres my take on a 1983 911sc targa.

In the beginning of last year I had an idea about modifying a targa.Earlier this summer I acquired a rust free,driver quality 83 targa and after a few trips to TRE we started the build.
The body:
Car was stripped and prepped for repaint to its original color GP White
Body work from TRE motorsport as follows :
-Rs front bumper
-Rs rear bumper
-Glass hood with balsa wood inserts
-fiberglass rear decklid and 911R hinges
Front fenders were modified to accept the early turn signal housings and horn grill.Perfect fitment on both fenders.
Cibie Pallas lights mounted on front fenders,wired to factory fog light switch.
H4 headlights with NOS Bosch lenses
All tri, including the targa bar and wiper arms were powder coated satin black.
All new rubber seals on the car,all of them.
Drilled door handles.
Seabring mirrors on top of the flag mirror bases.
Rocker cover delete.
Custom made soft top frame following the original Porsche design.Soft top is tight and firm.
Euro tail light lenses
Rear bumper heat shielded from the inside by the muffler so paint wont fade or change color.
The interior:
Rs door cards wrapped in pasha with black leather straps.
Restored dash with perforated insert.
Radio and center console delete.
Ac delete,but has defroster fresh air and heat.
New momo Mod7 steering wheel with porsche crest horn button.
Restored 180mph speedo,calibrated and zeroed out.
Premium black carpet.
Early S seats from Stefan at GTSclassics.
Pasha inserts throughout the rear section of the interior.
Custom made black ebony and solid aluminum checkered flag shift knob,917 style.
Mechanicals:
Rebuilt 3.0 engine,split case.Added 3.2 cams.Rebuilt ditributor as well.
Completely smog legal,just passed the test 2 weeks ago.
Powder coated and cad plated pieces.
New 3.2 carrera oil fed chain tensioners.
Rsr style engine cross mount.
New trans and engine mounts.
New sound pad and heater ducts.
Currently running a test pipe with stock heat exchangers and modified stock muffler.Its just a little bit louder.
New clutch assembly
No leaks.
New cloth braided airplane grade oil lines to the 964 fender mount oil cooler.
New steel braided brake lines with new Big Reds and 993tt brake rotors in the front.
Turbo tie rod ends,new balljoints and new bilstein HD shocks all around.
Carrera torsion bars and elephant racing adjustable sway bars front and rear.
New Rota Fox 17" wheels in Rsr finish
Set of new Toyo R888 tires,225's in the front and 255's in the rear.Around 500 miles on them.
The car runs and drives great with just a bit over 500 miles on it.First service was done,ready to be driven.
