1973 Porsche 911 T with S Spoiler Additional Info:
Offered to the highest bidderOne Very Nice 1973 Porsche 911 T CISMilage on the Speedometer is 22091 but the actual milage is unknown, those gauges are from a 1974 or later model car and not a 1973. When the owner purchased it in 1997 the milage was aproximatly 13,688 miles on this speedometer. This car is a very solid example. Most of the early examples I see have had front trunk floors rotted out or replaced but this one is very solid and rust free.I lost a very close Friend to Cancer recently and am selling this car for his wife.An avid Porsche enthusias, this car was always treated with the greatest of care and always parked inside. It was their baby, that they bought back in 1997.He has put approximately 8400 miles on it in that time. It still has the 5 tires mounted on five 6 x 15 fuchs alloy wheels. From when he purchased the car in 97 The spare has never touched the ground. The car drives out strong, shifts smoothly in all gears and has strong 911 S Caliper Brakes on factory Koni Shocks. I believe t he rear rotors are original and have very little wear.I ordered a COA on the car and it list the following options.Optional Equipment:US EquipmentStabilizer Bar F/RSport Seats L/RComfort EquipmentKoni Shocks instead of Boge (Koni S Struts option is why it has S Alloy Calipers, the mfg date on the front struts are correct 8/72)Chrome Strip FenderManual Antenna Left w/FrontRear Spoiler ( the car did come with a front steel S spoiler when purchased in 1997 but didn't have the duck spoiler at the time )6 x 15 inch Light Metal WheelsTinted WindshieldPirelli Tires
Recent work in the last year has been New Batteries Right and Left, New wheel bearings front and rear as well as repacking the CV joints.New Hydraulic chain tensioner kit and oil change
The paint is in good shape for the age (20 Plus Years) but there are a few door dings, chips and scratches around the carThere are two small spots of surface rust on the front cowel under the left side of the windshield rubber. (See last photo) The front and rear bumpers have been painted in the last couple years for chips and heat from exhaust.
The car was the 7th 911 coupe made with the CIS injection. The Transmission has the correct serial number for the car but the engine does not, it is in the correct number range for the correct 2.4 motor for the 73.5 CIS but not the matching serial number for the car.It was originally Aubergine (Dark Eggplant Purple) with Black Leatherette InteriorThe story as I recall is that Don Burns Racing / Presitge Porsche had changed the color from Aubergine to White.A google search of the vin 9113101527 shows an ad for this car in September of 1975 Don Burns Porsche Audi for this car but no color is mentioned. This car no longer has the Sport Seats or Rear Spoiler but does still have the Front Spoiler which came with all cars with a rear spoile, Koni Sport struts with S Alloy Caliper and front and rear sway bars. The car has a harness bar installed behind the seats that bolts in where the seat belt attaches. The seat belts are not original to the car but are much newer and probably safer. The Headlights are EURO Headlights . I have more photos but was limited to 24. I do a lot of selling on ebay but this is the first car I have listed so my apologies if there are mistakes here. I will try to answer any questions you may have, it just may take time.
