1968 Porsche 912 Coupe Additional Info:

**PLEASE SCROLL DOWN THE AD LISTING PAGE TO VIEW A COMPLETE SET OF DETAILED PHOTOS OF THE VEHICLE**Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very original 912, 5-speed Coupe. This car was recently purchased from it's long term owners in Reno, Nevada. The last registration for the car expired in March of 1984, most likely due to the engine needing a rebuild at that time. The engine case, crankshaft, and lots of other parts are still present, but unfortunately more parts were lost in the process. Please review the pictures at the end of the listing to see what's all included mechanically with the car.the paintwork is worn and faded, but the body on this car is quite exceptional ! It is extremely straight with excellent, per-factory gaps with very nice closing panels. There is a light dent on the LH rear fender above the wheelarch. There is some minor damage underneath the rear valance area towards the LH side. The rest of the body is just about near perfect. The car's brightwork (chrome and anodized aluminum) is the same. It's mostly nice enough to remove, clean, and reinstall with a nice paintjob, along with the car's original glasswork. The interior of the car is shot, but very original including seats, carpets, headliner, floormats, dashboard, etc. and has never been restored. The RH door panel has been removed but is present with all the other associated armbar parts. The car's underpan/floors have some minor typical rust in some usual areas, and would need repair/replacement. The car's jacking points/outer rockers look extremely solid and rustfree along with all other exterior body panels. The car up front in the battery area is surprisingly very solid overall. The PCA badge and the ski rack is a nice touch. Also included is the original jack and handle.Overall, a very original and worthy candidate for a proper restoration. One would be wise to purchase a complete rebuildable engine and recoup some funds by selling off the other mechanical components. These beautiful cars continue to be popular 60's motoring choices for young and old alike.
