1993 Porsche 968 M030 Additional Info:

1993 Guards Red Porsche 968 Black Interior

6 speed manual transmission (option code 220) LSD, M030 equipped (sways, 4 piston brembo brakes with pagid pads, koni yellows, M030 springs), Further research reveals that the M030 equipment was likely not from factory. 8-way power leatherSport seats, yet another rare find! How rare is this car? According to the 968 register 1,811 6-speed coupes total were sent to the US over the 4 year production run. Thats a rare car! But wait, only 608 cars total were produced in 93' which means only 492 manual cars were sent in 93', since 81% were produced with manual transmissions. Over the entire production run, only 548 Guards Red cars were sent to US. Averaged over 4 years, thats roughly 137 Guards Red cars sent to US, 65% of which were coupes, 89 cars. Factoring for the manual trans 72 cars. Of the approximated 72 red 6-speed coupes in 1993 sent to the US, how many were ordered with 220 limited slip? with 8-way leather sport seats? I don't know that statistic, but I do know it's an extremely low number for a production car.

The motor on this car has been professionally rebuilt (prior to my ownership) at 144k miles and the car runs very strong, no oil leaks, no oil consumption, no strange sounds. Continental t-belt used and properly tensioned.

Interior is very strong sport seats are not torn or heavily cracked although they are old and there is some wear, no dash cracks (very rare find). Overall very clean.

Clean Carfax!

Buyer should expect to address rocker panel damage, door ding strip removal paint damage, both front fenders have minor dimples, I assume from mechanics leaning against car. Ultimately, a partial re-spray would make the car perfect. To finish it off new seals would be nice, although the previous owner had the rear hatch glass re-sealed to prevent against water leaking in. The car passed smog check and is currently registered and operable in CA.

Please understand that I know what this car is and how rare it is. I've been 924/944/951/968 fan/ wrencher/ racer for over 15 years. The well appointed additions to this car add up to thousands and on top of that, there are very few Manual LSD cars with M030 equipment (stock or not). If you only want a factory 030 car, good luck finding one for even double this price. In fact, for the money you can't find a better Porsche. The value of these cars are only going up. I am not desperate to unload this car, but I am respectfully negotiable. If you win/purchase the car the title will be delivered to you viaFed Ex. Bill of Sale will be completed etc. No warranty, buyer pays shipping.
