1992 Porsche 968 Coupe Additional Info:

A definite investment for the serious collector, enthusiast, or even a daily driver. This is a track-ready, rare example of a near-factory original 1992 Porsche 968 (the only thing unoriginal is the stereo upgrade and the Koni suspension replacement); factory original gloves, two keys, and manual set included. Only 423 coupes were made with tiptronic transmissions. The largest 4 cylinder engine ever built, this car has been garage kept and meticulously cared for. Clean inside and out, top and bottom. Professionally installed Sony sound system with Bluetooth hands free capability (mic under steering wheel) without any alteration to the interior aesthetics. The sound is remarkable for a car of this era. The original CR-1 system and 6 CD changer can be included, but age has taken its toll on the unit and the amps. All electronics in the vehicle are functioning. Headlights shine bright. You also get over thirteen years of complete service history in a well organized binder as well as a Permabag car storage bag with tire shoes, and a new custom Autopyjama soft cover (best on the market) brand new from Hamburg, DEU to keep the car stored in an ideal environment in the off-season (a $1000 value). Window tinting has been restored in December 2016 within legal specs. Car also comes with wheel nut locks, original bumper bra (though I wouldn't recommend using to avoid marring the finish) and a spare new engine protection cover ($125 value).
All maintenance is up to date and it runs perfectly. Most of the major mechanical overhauls were done around the 94-110K mark. Porsche certified body work was done to restore the original paint and remove parking dents / dings from the previous owner. No oil or fluid leaks. AC compressor was replaced in 2008 and blows cold. Recharged the AC in May - only down 2 lbs. Blows colder than my Aston Martin DB9. Motor mounts are new and the engine performance still shows it. Alignment is highly precise - goes where you point the wheel. All recent major mechanical work completed by RPM in Newington, VA. All belts are in excellent condition. With these cars, you should replace the timing belt every 3 years. The timing belt is due for replacement in November based on age, but it has less than 1300 miles on it, no cracks, and plenty of teeth left. Will include two additional oil filters and a supply of Brad Penn 20W-50 for at least one oil change. Oil just changed - an easy DIY for the experienced. Brake pads, rotors, and tires in very good condition. Engine timing advanced one bit to provide enhanced throttle response. Car is VA antique vehicle registration eligible (no personal property tax, inspections, or emissions required usually for antique vehicles). Although higher mileage, this 968 is very well preserved and in excellent condition, and only going up in value.
I invite any prospective bidder to come see the car before bidding. I will put it on a lift so you can inspect it upon request. No apparent signs of rust on anything under the car (I clean / lubricate anything that could corrode regularly). No returns, sold as-is. Contact me for any inquiries. Buyer responsible for shipping (I can recommend a company with an enclosed truck) or in person pickup. Clean title in hand.
