1976 Porsche 911 911S Additional Info:
this is a 1976 911S all steel widebody
the body is in good shape. the metal flares are well done. there is little rust on the car. one being the driver door jamb. this is the outer skin only. you can see inside the hole that all the metal in there is good. another is a small spot just in front of the passenger side tail light. as you can see in the pics it will need paint to look great. also the jack points are a little rusty but nothing major, the windshield lower corner has a couple small bubbles and the rest of the car is solid
the car has an iroc style bumper on front with the oil cooler in the middle. also included in a new rear iroc bumper that needs to be installed. my idea was to install a ducktail on it which you can see in the pics which is also included at asking price.
the engine is a 2.7 from 1976. serial number 6461547. i suppose it's the original but have not gotten a coa to confirm. odometer shows 156k miles. i have no paperwork to show if any work has been done to it. starts right up and puffs a little smoke after a day or two but once it warms up it actually runs pretty strong. i would say it need a tune up, oil change, etc. it does leak some oil. i have not looked to see from where. the front oil cooler was moved to the front center of the front bumper. also has turbo valve covers.
the 915 transmission shifts smooth through all gears and the clutch holds strong
the brakes are 986 all around and work and no sticking calipers.
suspension has redone front control arms, bilstein sports all around, adjustable rear spring plates and turbo tie rods
the wheels are new euromeister 17 x 8 (i believe) and 9's with new michellin pilot sport a/s3
the interior is decent. would benefit from a deep cleaning. the driver door pocket is hanging and the lid is missing the rear corner little bracket. the dash has a few cracks. overall needs some tlc.
the windows, sunroof work fine. the gauges also seem to work well.
overall this is an easy restoration project, hot rod candidate or a solid base for a track car.
car is located in hollywood, fl. personal inspections are welcomed and encouraged
