1984 Porsche 944 Additional Info:
Please read entire description before bidding. This is a 1984 Porsche 944. It has a 5 speed manual transmission. This Porsche belongs to my dad and I have agreed to help him sell it. He has a clear Alabama title, in hand. He purchased it in 1992 and has owned it ever since. If you buy this car, it will be available for pickup in Tuscumbia, AL 35674, which is located in Northwest Alabama. My dad is selling his house, so all his toys must go, too! Here are the good things about the car. It has very low mileage. The odometer reads 74,067 miles. This mileage on the odometer is very close to accurate. When the car was fairly new the odometer stopped working and the original owner had it fixed under warranty. The car has been garage kept since my dad has owned it. The tires are like new condition. The car has NEVER been involved in a wreck. The body is in good shape, see pictures. The interior is all original and in average condition for the year model. One of the power window switches need replacing. The car has the original paint job from the factory on the car. There are a couple of light faded areas in the paint, but I think the paint would buff out very good if it had a professional detail. Now for the bad about the car. My dad let the Porsche sit up in his garage for the last two years without driving it or cranking it. So recently, I went and got a new battery for the car. I finally got the Porsche started and drove it outside the garage. I washed it and took the pictures for ebay. I cranked it back up and drove it back inside the garage. When I cranked the Porsche up, it was missing, smoking, coughing and running very bad. I told dad he needed to get the car towed to a mechanic and get it running properly. My dad is 77 years old. He has just sold his house and needs the car out of the garage before June 1st. He told me that he does not want to fix anything on the car or spend any money on the car. He just wants to sell the car in as-is condition. Therefore, I don't want any possible misrepresentation or misunderstandings that could affect my personal ebay feedback score. So, I am selling this 1984 Porsche as-is. I am selling it as if the car's engine is NOT running at all. So, please bid according. I will be happy to try and answer any questions you may have, just send me an email. I prefer that the buyer makes a deposit through paypal within 3 days and the balance due at pickup.
