This is a newer build that was done right. This particular build is about extracting the essence of driving a true 911 RS. This example is light, with great power, tight handling and well balanced. Many people don’t realize it, but this is what most are really striving to achieve when building a cool modified old Porsche 911.This Porsche left the factory in September of 1970 as a 911 T coupe.Highlights of the build include:Engine:3.2 L Carrera motor from a 1986 911 w appx 40k milesSteve Wong chipCatalytic Converter Bypass Pipe Stock exhaust manifold and muffler(single in, single out)Body:1970 911 E Coupe (Weight is 2,300 pounds with ½ tank of fuel)Larger capacity gas tankSteel Factory RS flares RS ducktail and RS style rear bumper (fiberglass)RS front bumper (fiberglass)Porsche hard oil lines to front SC loop oil cooler Rennline Front shock tower brace/strut bar. The fully photo documented glass out, door and fender off paint job was completed in 2015. There are minimal signs of use. The fitment of the flares and panel gaps are excellent. All the glass looks great as does the new rubber and body seals. The newly restored(3 weeks ago) Fuchs wheels look amazing with no curb rash and are wearing Pirelli P-Zero tires with about 90% life remaining. The brakes have more than half-life remaining. The interior looks equally as nice. It is clean and minimalist…as a RS lightweight should be. The seats are newer and show no wear. The door panels and carpet are in great shape. The headliner is in very good condition. The dash looks great with no cracks. All the gauges function properly except the clock. The heater and ventilation controls work. Lighting operates as intended. This sport purpose built 911 drives fantastic. It starts with no smoke and idles smoothly. The power feels extremely strong with great lowend torque and excellent throttle response.
The car feels very light and easy to steer. It tracks nicely. The gearbox is smooth and connected. Gear selecting is easy and precise. There is no grinding or slipping. The gear ratios are perfect for this set up. The brakes have incredible initial bite and are really wellsuited for performance street driving. This early 911 would be a blast on vintage touring events, weekend canyon carving, or even cruises to your local car show. It is simple, well-built, sorted, and pure.California registration is paid through February of 2018.This vehicle is sold “as-is” with no warranty, written or implied.
