I found this car late last year in the Midwest after searching for an original 951 Turbo that was unmolested, documented and in good shape.
Needless to say they are becoming very hard to find.
The car was a (2) owner car prior to my purchase with the 2nd owner possessing the vehicle for almost 20 years & had been garaged. The car was and is intact and has the original Blaupunkt stereo as well.
I have the original Porsche owner's manual, original Porsche warranty and maintenance book (which has the original factory sticker with option codes) & the vinyl booklet holder ; I also have the entire history of the car beginning with the original owner & shows it was delivered July 1st 1986 to Porsche dealer #1145 in Zanesville OH. The service record history is notated in the warranty manual. I also have every receipt on this car dating back to 1986 right up to present day & covering all the work I have done to the car with receipts. All the vin tags are intact on the car including the original factory sticker in the rear trunk/hatch compartment. I also have the original jack, tool kit, spare tire, air compressor, hand held vacuum cleaner, sunroof bag. The car has AC, cruise control, powered sunroof, power windows and mirrors. The sunroof and the rear hatch DO NOT leak water.

Something special included with this vehicle is an original Saratoga glass sunroof from the 1980's era with the original sunroof storage bag (see pic) ! These sunroofs are RARE and almost impossible to find !
I also have an original 1986 Porsche showroom sales brochure & mailer for this vehicle which is in mint - exceptional condition with no rips tears or fading !
These cars in original form are becoming harder to find and their values are currently going up and expected to continue to rise. This vehicle is currently insured with Hagerty's - - -
In 1986 - 7,513 of these 951 turbo's were imported into the USA.
Finding a fully documented 951 that hasn't been molested or converted to a track car is even more difficult.
After having the car shipped I had the waterpump, timing belt, rollers, seals, radiator, vacuum hoses all replaced. ALL THE REPLACEMENT PARTS that went into this car are all German - NO OEM parts! Hose kit was from Lindsey racing. The fuel filter was replaced with a MAHLE filter, all 4 brake wear sensors were replaced, a new splash guard and original heat shield was installed, new drivers side front fog lens, replaced the drivers side rear turn directional, new hood struts and 4 new Bosch spark plugs. Also installed were 4 new Yokohama S Series tires - all balanced. I also eliminated the rear wiper motor and plugged the glass hole with a high gloss imported plug from Greece. Plate holders
are carbon fiber. New firewall seal was installed.
I also have the COMPLETE original service manual for this car on CD ROM & a Haynes automotive repair guide. Yet to be installed are (2) custom made hood liners with the Porsche logo in red vinyl stickers, and a new urethane front end splitter from a 998 Porsche (see photos).
The car runs STRONG - especially between 3-4 gears with exceptional Turbo response. Currently I'm running it on Castrol 20-50W high mileage oil, phosphate free coolant and high octane fuel. The car handles great (could use a minor alignment), and has way more horsepower than I need.
Now the bad with the car: I confirmed the wiper motor has power to the plug but not working ( I have an entire wiper motor and blade assembly replacement which I ordered from Texas). Odometer is not functioning but all other guages are. The good news is that the car is currently having these 2 issues addressed & I will be updating this listing in the future. High beams need to be looked at also.
Paint - for a 31 year old vehicle the car def could use a paint job as it has rock chips, scratches on the rear hatch and rear quarter panels (where it looks like a disgrunted girlfriend or wife took revenge on their partner).. and a minor push/dent on the passenger side front QP. The car was detailed recently, shows well but would be an exceptional car with a paint job. The car had been painted in the past as evidenced by over spray seen on the under body. The car has NO rust or rot and had a brake line flush recently as well. I've driven the car maybe 6-7 times since I've begun restoring it and never abused it.
I have included photos of all the documentation with the car - for a serious collector/ Porsche owner this is a must have with these Turbo's and this car is a FULLY DOCUMENTED ORIGINAL 951 TURBO with the original showroom sales brochure, 1986 mailer/flyer and EVERY receipt for all work done !
Included with the sale of this car should the buyer desire:
ALL parts which were removed prior to recent work (water pump, hoses, belts, hardware, radiator, rear wiper motor, etc). Also the Yokohama tires I replaced (which have dry rot but hold air and can be used for emergency backup).
I also have TWO sets of imported Vitaloni mirrors - Baby Turbo's and a set of the rare Super Turbo mirrors - both imported from Germany !
Also included is a brand new MaxOut chrome vehicle fire extinguisher &
a complete fuse replacement kit.
