1974 Porsche 911 Coupe
This 911 has undergone a body/paint and mechanical restoration.
Details of the restoration:
Mechanical restoration by Fabson AG, Cedarburg, Wisconsin
Work done: high performance Nikasil 8.5:1 pistons, new piston rings, new rod bearings set, new main bearing set, Dilavar steel head studs, new connecting rod bearings, new connecting rod bolts, new oil return tubes with the latest turbo silicone “0” ring seals, new Carrera up-grade to oil-pressure-fed chain tensioner kit, new chain guide rails of high impact injection molded plastic type, late-style chain wheel supports, crankshaft polished, camshafts were sent to California for ‘street performance’ regrind, new valve guides, new valve springs, new valve seals, new valve keepers, new upgraded ribbed valve covers, TRW performance intake & exhaust intake and exhaust valves, 11 blade fan upgrade, SSI heat exchangers, Weltmeister sway bar on the front, stock rear sway bar, Weltmeister 29mm rear torsion bars, stock front sway bar, Koni adjustable performance front and rear shock absorbers, metal master brake pads, ATE Super Blue Racing brake fluid.
Body/paint restoration by DAVID WELKY, Cedarburg, Wisconsin
Work done: tear down of body (doors, front hood, rear engine lid, glass, trim removed), body stripped to bare metal, repairs to any rust/damaged areas, surface prep and paint (color change from silver to red), all rubber seals replaced with new, reassembly, very good panel fit/finish, beautiful wet sanded/buffed paint surface.
Interior: mostly original in beautiful condition, new headliner installed.
Brakes: R&I and rebuild/powder coated calipers, new master, new lines/hoses
Tires: New (5-13), W-P195/65HR15 front and W-P215/60hr15 rear
Battery: new (1-17)
There are a number of other new parts and improvements.
A file with invoices for work done will be included with the car.
The end result is a wonderful, well sorted 911, that is ready to be used and enjoyed. The new found performance/reliability brings the car to higher levels than shock 911s.
