1976 Porsche 912 Additional Info:
I bought this as a parts/project car last Fall but, started another car project and won't have time for this one. It has rust - most of which is surface rust and some deeper rust in the rockers and battery box area from the battery acid corrosion. All relatively easy fixes. The 1976 were the first year Porsche started galvanizing and a lot of the existing cars have "alligator" paint issue cause by an adhesion problem between the paint and galvanizing. I ground away the troubled areas and the metal below was fine as you can see in the pix. There are parts missing, it has only one seat in poor condition, it's not running, but the motor turns freely and the transmission shifts into all gears. I have little knowledge of what's working or not but it's a great project car with all needed parts easily available. It rolls and steers fine for trailering. I haven't registered it, but I have a clear title from the prior owner. I'll end the auction early for a fair offer and accept full payment via Paypal. Sorry for some upside-down pix but the rotating feature wasn't available during the upload.
