1979 Porsche 911 SC Coupe 2-Door Additional Info:
1979 Porsche 911 SC -Coupe-
Beautiful
Production October / 1978 - Model year 1979 -
Porsche 911SC -Coupe-
Light Blue Metallic -- Color Code 30T --
This wonderful car has been sitting for over 23 years in a dry garage
Original 83.000 Mls.
All the glass, doors, bumpers, etc were removed from the car
Repainted in the original factory Blue metallic
I bought it two years ago, took it apart.
I redid the interior had the body stripped, windows, hood, deck-lid out, bumpers off
And new paint in original color.
Interior and paint is done. The car is beautiful. But I quit!
Factory Porsche Fuchs wheels
Sport shock absorbers
Fog-lights
Complete new leather seats
Brand new headliner
Newly recovered dashboard
New sunroof cables and motor
Carpet is still original and perfect
Never driven in ice and snow
Original Texas car that was sitting since March 1993 (23 years)
Of course no rust at all, all welding on the frame still original
Engine is currently still apart, and after waiting and waiting for my mechanic
to finish, I am pulling the plug. Heads are completely rebuild.
So far over 6K in engine and transmission work alone.
He promised to have the transmission done by the time of sale!
My loss is your gain. Maybe you have a reliable mechanic or you can do it yourself
Last time, I pulled the car off the net because he promised me that he will finish now
After another two weeks and empty promises, this time the car will be sold.
I had high hopes for the car because it has great substance and a very unique color.
The car ran (shitty) but ran. Transmission shifted fine. My mechanic took out engine and
transmission. Sold off my carburetors and was supposed to put on the original fuel injection.
The transmission is apart as well, for no reason. The car has been back at the shop since June.
No progress.
Still, I am working on other possibilities. I found a complete 3.0 engine, still negotiating.
I am not giving up on this car and working on other options.
Thank you, for all the comments and offers for 4/5K less. Very nice, but really not necessary
The price is not negotiable, at this point I am loosing 7k. Either way, starting price is firm
The car is at the shop in Westminster, CA
Please look at the car before bidding so you know what you are bidding on!
