1988 Porsche 944 Base Coupe 2-Door Additional Info:
1988 Porsche 944 Turbo finished in Gran Prix White over Burgundy interior. The mileage is 96,384 original. Clean Carfax, Autocheck report, Clean title in hand ready to go. Late model 944 Turbos are hard to find, especially in this color combination. Factory Option Codes:158 Radio "Monterey" - 86 "Reno" - 87533 Alarm system650 Sunroof946 Leather/leatherette seatsCondition: Exterior:The car presents itself well with no major dents or scratches. The paint is glossy around the car and shines nice in the sun. There are typical stone chips on the nose of the car. The sun roof panel has some paint chipping, and the exterior mirrors are both chipped and the paint is faded. The right rear quarter panel is a bit off in paint color from the rest of the car, this can easily be redone. There are a couple areas of light surface rust around the windshield seal, and on the top on the passenger rear quarter where the hatch closes, and in the corners where the tail lamps meet the quarter panels. The passenger fog lamp assembly is cracked. This can all easily be corrected for less than $1,000.Interior:The interior overall is nice. The driver seat is not ripped on torn but does show its age. On the passenger lower right outer bolster the leather is torn a bit as you will see in the pictures. The dash has some pulling by the defroster vents but is overall decent with no serious cracks. The carpeting is very nice, no stains or odors of any kind, no sun damage either. The rear hatch carpet is in excellent condition with no fading or UV damage. The headliner panels are all in good shape. The shift boot is worn due to age. The screen on the clock is cracked.Mechanical:This 944 Turbo drives great. The engine makes the power it should and the Turbo boosts strong. The car has a mass air upgrade/delete of the factory intake box, manual adjustable boost controller, and chip set. The rest of the car is 100% stock. I would estimate the car to be around 270-280 HP, it pulls great! The engine appears to be dry with no major oil leaks, no smoking at idle or under heavy acceleration pulls. The timing belt/water pump was done at 70,000 miles. The clutch grabs fine and the transmission shifts smooth. The car tracks down the road straight and stops straight. The heat works great and the A/C compressor works but could use a charge. All electronics work as they should. The windows both go up and down, the sunroof works, and the headlamps work fine. This 944 Turbo comes with the master key, service key, and wheel lock key. The spare tire, tool kit, and compressor are with the car as well. The original order option sticker is still in place where it should be. The hood, driver front fender, driver door, passenger door all have the original VIN stickers in place. I also have the original books and service records dating back from 1995.If you have been looking for a late model 944 Turbo and want something you can drive and enjoy, this is a great car. This is not a show car, but a nice car. I have already put over 300 miles on this 944 T in the past 2 weeks and the car has operated great.Call Jon at 908-797-2669 with any questions or offers!
