The initial Carrera 2.7 models had the same welded-on rear RS flares, before switching to the SC stamped style rear flares during the middle of the 1974 production year. The Carrera 2.7 coupés weighed in at 1075kg, the same weight as the 1973 Carrera RS Touring"
FactoryDucktail"For the 1974 model year, the Carrera 2.7 was available with the "ducktail "rear spoiler first introduced with the 1973 Carrera RS. To help clarify, I've gotten many messages inquiring if the mileage listed as "07086" is the cars correctmileage. The "07086" listed mileage is what is showing on the Odometer. I have no way to confirm if this mileage is correct because I don't have much information on the cars history. With this said, I would like to safety err on the high sideand assume the cars mileage is 107,086. I've also gotten several questions about the cars paint. The majority of the paint looks to be original, and when checked with a MIL gauge it falls within the thicknesses of OEM paint, but I'm uncertain. The bumpers do look like they have been refinished at some point in the cars life. According to what I've been told, The ducktail was removed from the car and placed into storage, and a later Carrera type wing was installed early in the cars life. When the original Duckatil wasplaced back onto the car it was poorly refinished.I encourage a pre-purchase inspection & I will assist any way that I can. Thisis a great car that with a little work will be an outstanding investment, considering the rise in prices in the market. Once again, If there is a question that I can answer please inquire. If you'd like to speak by phone I'll be happy to do so.
