The current original owner has asked me to put this car on ebay. I would like to present to you in this auction a 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 with the Porsche 964 engine. It only has 20,531 original miles since it was purchased brand new from a local Porsche Dealership. It has only had one owner, since new. It has only been garaged, maintained and driven in Southern California. On the exterior of the Porsche, it has the original factory black paint, and still shines like new. The interior, it has the beautiful and elegant light gray leather, throughout the cabin. This Porsche has been kept completely original and even still smells new. The seats themselves, look as if they have never been sat in. This Porsche has never been driven in bad weather, it has only been driven on sunny dry days. It has always been kept in a temperature controlled garage and covered. It has been meticulously maintained, all service and maintenance are up to date. All services and maintenance have all been done at the local Porsche Dealership. All records, books, and receipts are available and come with the car. It has a sunroof and dual air bags. The owner has never had food in the car, or has it ever been subjected to any type of smoking.
The Porsche has always been driven with care, it has never been abused at any time. There are no leaks of any kind anywhere on the vehicle. It comes with the Porsche "tiptronic" automatic transmission. The battery has always been maintained with a trickle-charger. Air conditioning blows cold. The standard AM/FM Cassette "Blaupunkt" factory stereo system works as designed. The wheels, tires and brakes are all in working order. Wheels come with custom factory wheel locks with custom wheel lock keys. This Porsche comes with many standard factory details. A very impressive Porsche, I would have to say.
Background on the Porsche Carrera 2
The Porsche 964 is the company's internal name for the Porsche 911 manufactured and sold between 1989 and 1994. Designed by Benjamin Dimson in 1986, it featured significant styling over the previous 911 models, most prominently the more integrated bumpers (fender). It was the first generation 911 to be offered with Porsche's optional "tiptronic" automatic transmission and all wheel drive options. A new naturally aspirated engine called the M64 was used for the 964 models, with a flat -6 displacement of 3.6 litres. The suspension was revised, power steering with ABS brakes were added to the 911 for the first time, and both were considered standard equipment. A new electric rear spoiler raised at speeds above 50 miles per hour and lowered down flush at lower speeds. Dual front airbags also standard equipment beginning in 1990. A new climate control system for superior heating and cooling. Revised instrumentation housed a large set of warning lights that were tied into the car's central warning system, alerting the driver to a possible problem or malfunction. The engine design as the 911 air/oil cooled, horizontally opposed dry-sump lubrication, rear mounted.
