1979 Pontiac Trans Am Additional Info:
Here is your chance to own a restored, three owner, low mile 1979 Pontiac Trans Am.
I hate to do this, but I am offering up my 1979 Pontiac Trans Am for sale. Oldest daughter is getting ready to "tie the knot" so something has to go.
This Bird was sold new in Kalamazoo in 1979 at Gilmore Pontiac. After 10 years of driving it was put into storage, where it sat until 2012. At that time the second owner pulled it out and put it through a restoration. Two years later he put it back on the road.
The color is build-sheet correct Atlantis Blue, a color only available in 1979. The interior is crushed velour in light blue. The TA is equipped with factory AM-FM 8 track and power locks. It also has factory T-tops and the correct space-saver spare with air can.
Under the hood is the correct and original 403 cubic inch V8 with plenty of HP and even more torque. The transmission is a TH350 that was rebuilt over the winter with a shift kit. The rear gears were originally 2.41's that were swapped to 3.42's last winter to give a little more punch off the line. The shaker hood scoop lives up to its name.
This car drives great! All new suspension components, brakes, tires, dual exhaust, and fully restored snowflake wheels in polished alloy with charcoal accents. You will be hard pressed to find a better cruiser.
This is your chance to own one of the most rapidly appreciating pieces of American iron. Clean underneath and bone dry after being stored all winter.
The title is in my name and clear. I have some documentation to show on the history of this car.
