1981 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 trans am Additional Info:

1981 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 4 speed 4 wheel disc car! was upgraded a few years ago from the original 305 to a 1979 403 6.6 TA engine and trans motor is mostly stock withexceptionfor headers and chrome valve covers. Theengineis very clean inside and out recently changed fluids fresh fuel lines, new fuel pump, air filter fuel filte, Plugs wires cap & rotor as well. A few months ago we had a brand new dual exhaust installed with brand newflow masters car sounds great! The wheels are 15x7 snowflakes with new Indy 500Fire hawktires look veryappropriateon this car. Interior is mostly original with exception to non original bucket seats from the last ownerwhichid rather change they do not seem to fit the car well. The carpet and rearupholstery need to be redone but seem to be the original fabric. All of the little plasticpiecesthat are difficult and expensive to replace such as T top trimmoldingkick panels rear sail panels and plastic trim including headliner andseat belttrim are intact and in decent shape somepieceswill armor all out others will need repainting to be show ready. Dash is in nice shape but has some typical cracks and steering wheel looks good as well. Mostly cosmetic from the sun but the car looks to have been non abused over the years but its ready for a makeover. The body of the car is very solid thanks to our dry climate here in CA and in very original shape looks to be original paint no over spray or body work to be found on the lower left quarter panel behind the tire has a decent sized dent that needs some attention eventually. Most certainly the paint is older and has been in the weather over the years and would be showing any rust orpreviousbody work at this point. It has no bubbles or rust spots anywhere in the paint. The front windshield is broken but all the other glass looks great. There are some small areas where paint was scratched off or chipped that you can see little bare metal spots that have surface rust spots fromexposure. Nothing under the paint or significant at all. Trunk looks solid and has a the original carpet still there as well as a nice set of t top bags. The tach and speedo do not work and the radio is missing this is a running driving straight trans am but would beconsidered a project car has not been a daily driver for a few years but gets started and driven down the street on a weekly basis. I have a few trans ams in the stable and lovePontiacs but i will have to let this one go to finish my Y88 that is still hungry for parts i would love to see this car in show/ drive condition and being enjoyed my a new trans amenthusiastso we are putting her out there to see what happens. Let me know what questions you have and i will answer them best as possible. I have some running /driving videos as well that i can send upon request. Also the car was built in Van Nuys CA just a few hours away and i have whats left of the original build sheet to go with the car. Also based on Hitmans TA website for 1981 only 3,225 4 speed T Top cars were produced. and based on the cowl tag data paint codes showing 11L 11U for cameo white and 64 B for doeskin tan interior cloth that is numbers matching to the car now.
