1947 Pontiac Other Additional Info:
1947 Pontiac Streamliner with 69,750K miles. The Straight 8, 3-speed runs and drives good. Beginning the preservation, restoration, or whatever you choose, it has a 12 volt ignition, overhauled brakes with sleeved master cylinder, electric fuel pump and clean fuel tank. The floors are roughed in, but will need rocker panels and covers for the internal running boards. Outside sheet metal is good, and all trim is there. It will need new glass, weather stripping, and interior. The hubcaps are correct, but the trim rings are not. The original 16-inch rims are in decent shape. The car rides like being on a cloud, and the front end is tight with the exception of a little play in the left outer tie-rod end and the idler arm. The wiring is in need of replacement, but the the 12 volt halogen headlights do show a connection. A new temporary wiring harness is in place for the rear lights, with the brake lights working. In the dash area, the oil pressure gauge shows decent pressure. The speedometer works. This car has duel heaters, and the duct work for the under seat unit is missing from the fan at the radiator cowl back. The stock fuel pump works but the diaphram needs replacing--although the top half--which is a vacuum pump for the windshield wipers does work. The radiator seeps under pressure--might be repaired. This cars lower engine bay had sheet metal panels covering the entire area. They have been removed because they were not salvageable. I can answer any other questions you might have. 540-854-8251
