1972 Pontiac Trans Am Additional Info:

This is my personal 1972 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am that I have owned for over 11 years.
1 of only 1286 total Trans Ams made that year due to a major strike at GM. Other than the 69 this is the lowest production T/A in history. I have the Pontiac Historical Society (PHS) documentation. Clean title.
This is a Cameo White with blue interior (a great combo). Options include but limited to Automatic Trans, Air Conditioning, Radio AM&FM, Console, Tilt Wheel and Convenience lamps.
The VIN on the car MATCHES the VIN stamped on the block. The car is almost all original except for the Edlebrock Carb and a Pioneer radio below the stock radio. The stock radio still powers on however.
The overall condition is very good. It had a complete body-on resto just before I bought it. Motor and tranny were rebuilt as well. I have only put a couple hundred miles per year on it. Basically going to car shows and doing a little cruising.
As far as I know it has been a California car most of it's life. I live near Sacramento CA and have only driven it in ideal conditions. No rain, snow or excessive heat or cold ect. I bought it in CA as well.
Paint: The paint is super glossy and the body work is very straight. The stripes look brand new. The front bumper area has some rock chips and a few hair line cracks in the nose area.
A/C: The system is complete but does not work. It blows mostly hot air and was working a few years ago.
Interior: Seats and dash look great. Door panels have some scuffs but overall look good.
Engine: Starts and runs smoothly. A great driving car. Rear main seal leaks as do most of these cars. I replaced it once but some Firebirds and Camaros leaked new on the show room floor.
I have saved almost all my records over the past decade. All maintainence is up to date.
This has T/A has been very reliable for a classic car. It always gets tons of attention wherever it goes. Having a son in a private university has brought me to the point where I unfortunately need to sell it. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I want it to go to a good home.
