THE STORY:
I trailer towed the car home and did some maintenance to get it running. New battery, changed the oil and filter, new fuel filter in the carburetor (Q-jet), new fuel in the tank ... And it fired right UP ! like it's never missed a beat :)
Runs and drives very well, the more it runs the better it becomes. Although I'm sure the carburetor could use adjustment / gone through.
The 215/65 tires are very old and dry rotted, hold air for just a couple days, and will need replaced.
The car was sold new at Palmer's Pontiac in Logan, UT and has seen some winter weather, it was stored inside, but it's not 100% rust free, the normal spots have the paint bubbles of surface rustunderneath, no holes or "rot", just needs sanded downproperlybefore painted.
The drivers side front fender does have damage from a parking lot pole hit years ago, and was never repaired (see pics), the passenger side fender also has a small dent in front of the side marker from the same incident.Passengerside mirror glass is missing.
The interior is SUPER NICE ! No cracks in the dash pad, no seat wear, dash plastic is perfect. The car was smoked in, in it's lifetime and comes from a smoked in garage, so some smell is still present, but it's airing /cleaningout all the time. Thepassengerside seat belt doesn't want to retract, but I haven't messed with it in the headliner to fix it. Also both the hood and hatch gas struts are worn out.
I've tired too outline ALL the issues with the car ... But it is really a clean example of a bad ass 1984 Trans AM !
Any questions please message me and I can reply, or provide a phone number for texts or calls.
SOLD AS IS, and WHERE IS, the car will need transported ... Unless you want toreenactan episode of ROADKILL ;)
