The owner has told us this is a Survivor, low mile GTO. After doing our homework, as far as we can determine, this car truly is a 1 owner, 49,453 original mile Survivor. As you look through the pictures, you will notice the original window sticker, receipts for service work, Original Protect-O-Plate, original manuals, etc.
The owner died recently and his girlfriend (82 years old) has decided to sell it.All data we have is here at our shop is from her personal recounting plus documentation she brought with her when consigning the car.
The owner bought the car from a dealership in California back in ‘67. His goals were to race it at the Orange County International Raceway a few times, then use the car sparingly on weekends, etc. He won his class 3 times with times of 14.2 seconds at 102 mph.Not bad considering the fact that this was a factory car, and back in 1967.There are several pictures of the owner in his car in 1967 and of him racing at the track. We have also posted pictures of the trophies.
This is a factory 400 engine with a 4 speed manual transmission. Most of what was on the car when he bought it remains on the car. There have been some changes to the car like new tires and new front ball joints, etc.
The owner moved from California to Gig Harbor, WA 20 years ago.He drove the car periodically for 3 years, then parked the car in the garage 17 years ago where it has sat, being used only 3 times for special occasions. Knowing how important the car was, the girlfriend would do her best to maintain the tires, batteries, etc.
We have gone through the car extensively looking for anything that would indicate that the car is not what we have been told and find their statements to be all true. There is a window sticker showing that just over 17 years ago, they had the oil changed at the dealership. The car showed just a few miles over 49,000.
The "Plumb Mist" color was the rarest of all colors in ‘67. The compression on the engine and the way she runs and drives down the road is amazing. There are pictures of just some of the books, records and spare parts that go with the car. He cared for the car in a meticulous manner.Everything in its place and a place for everything.
There are enough pictures to show all parts of the car. If you need anything additional, please let me know and I will get them for you.
The price for this rare piece of History is only $52,250.
