1980 Pontiac Firebird Additional Info:
Selling off some of my projects. Numbers matching, and it still has it's original 4.9L V8 and Garrett Turbo. Very original and solid car. Typical minor rust areas here and there like a small bubble under the Phoenix on the hood, under the rear decklid lip, etc. Nothing that is T-tops don't leak. Runs, drives, shifts strong. Cold AC. Trunk is great. Frames is excellent. One small spot in drivers floor. New alternator, belts, and coolant overflow. Carb will need rebuilding or replaced. New Red Top battery. Good shape for a 36 year old car. Gets all the looks. Was going to do a full frame off, but I have to take care of my business first. Plenty of life left in this one. People stop me every time I pull this beast out of the garage. Car has been sitting, so it will need typical gasket replacement to seal up all of the minor leaks that come with old cars. Tach and speedo stopped working the last time I drove it (tach shows high - speedo doesn't move). Most likely the sensor on the back of transmission. My number will only go up if I start putting money into it. I try to describe vehicles as honestly as possible. Videos and more pics posted as I get them. YouTube: Mr Finance 1980 Pace Car. Replaced belts and smog pump pulley (extremely hard to find), but still get a high pitched squeal under heavy acceleration. I would recommend a smog pump delete because the pulley is impossible to find new and none of the used ones are 100% rounded. I am a licensed car dealer by trade, so I can assist with shipping nationwide.
