This car was built in June of 1981 and I bought it brand new from Austin Pontiac in West Seneca New York in Oct. 20th 1981 and have all the records. Funny thing...... I used to here stories about people saying " I drove it off the showroom floor." Well this car was actually on the show room floor of this dealership but they would not let me do it. Sad, but at least it was there...... this car has been off the road since oct. 14 1998 which I can prove. I put 500 miles on it the first the week I bought it, took it off the road for the winter, then 5000 more miles on whole it the next year. So, at 1 year old it had 5500 miles on it.Long story short.....I only put another 4375 miles on this car over the next 43 years and always been stored inside.I added a few items to the Trans Am in 1982. Pinstriping, rear window louvers, flares behind the wheelwells, [ to look Just like the front ] T handle shifter knob, and an electronic Proto systems hood scoop kit. I bet anybody reading this doesnt know what that is. It makes the shaker hoodscoop funtional. And I still kept the center bar in the middle, only carved out the black out parts....very classy. I still have the installation instructions. I put a high grade stereo system in it in in 1984 but it doesnt seem to work now. in 1987 I put koni shocks all around and have the original shocks stored in the trunk [see pic] Oh, also I changed the original headlights to halaogen but, have the original headlamps in the trunk also.I was going to also upgrade the front sway bar bushings, I purchased them but never installed them . they are also in the trunk.as everyone nows, there is no 1981 GM with original headliner that is hasn't dropped down. BUT, when you look up in this car,, that is the original vinyl headliner. Took some trickery.... but its there! The visors seem to have lost their padding, probably the same problem as the headliner had. I never did anything with them. The tires on this car are the original tires that I bought it brand new with and still hold air. However, I would not try to go over 20 or 25 miles an hour with them, at this point . One of the pics still shows how much tread is on them.I could go on for hours about this car,I also have the orginal style shifter knob for the car. I will talk to anyone interested in buyingLeave message or email. The milage is 100 percent true. Not from some classic car dealer who can claim plausible deniability if you catch them at a later time. The car never had any accident or body filler.Has a few very small dings and a scrape on left, top side of front bumper, all from while parked in my garage, you probably can't even see them in the pics except from the front bumper, thats how small they are. But, Thats what happens over 45 years.I listed this car a few years ago for $45,000.00 but got very little feedback and nobody even came to look at it. I dropped the price by $10,000.00 What a deal!!!!As one last thing... according to TRANS AM WORLD there was only 2866 Trans Ams made with my main options, 305 C.I. 4 speed no SE, no T tops.then once you figure in color blue and velore interior and suc, could be one of a kind by now. [or even then ?]and, its almost new with less than 10,000 miles on it. The first thing I would do is get tires for it though. The last 3 photos are taken on 3/10/26, it was in this position for the last 2 yearsThe price is FIRM and.... CASH. Also does not include any taxes or fees that need to be collected. If anyemail at: mjbrown8171@gmail.com phone at: 716 337-3674 [leave message] text: 585 322-4797
