1970 Pontiac GTO JUDGE Additional Info:

For sale is my beautifully preserved and fully documented 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge—a genuine, numbers-matching Ram Air III hardtop coupe that's ready to drive, show, or add to a serious collection. Second owner, car originally out of Wyoming, spent it's entire life in the dry climates of Wyoming and Colorado.

This is one of approximately 3,797 Judges produced in 1970 (3,629 hardtops), and it's finished in the moderately rare Palladium Silver (Pontiac code P, WA3927) with a striking blue interior. Palladium Silver was ordered on just 2,394 total 1970 GTOs (about 6% of production), making it less common than the popular Carousel Red, black, or gold tones—giving this Judge a subtle, sophisticated look that stands out from the crowd without being overly flashy.

Key Authenticity & Documentation Highlights:

  • PHS documented — Full Pontiac Historic Services report verifies it's a factory WT1 Judge option package, including build sheet details and window sticker reproduction.
  • Numbers-matching drivetrain — Engine (WS code 400ci Ram Air III, 360 hp/500 lb-ft), 4-speed manual transmission, cylinder heads (#68 D-ports), the HOLY GRAIL and impossible to find Rochester Quadrajet carburetor (7040273 WC, recently fully restored in concourse condition by Costal Carburetor, not installed), intake manifold (9799068, date code J219 unrestored original, not installed), and distributor (# 1112005 DATE CODE 0C9unrestored original, not installed) all match the car's VIN. Comes with all of it's original rare parts that these cars typically do not have
  • All-original sheetmetal — Straight body, no major rust or accident damage history.
  • Paint condition: 7.5/10 — Very presentable driver quality with nice shine and only minor patina/blemishes from normal use (no heavy orange peel or overspray issues).
  • Interior: 8/10 — Excellent blue vinyl buckets and console, minimal wear, no rips/tears/cracks; seats and door panels look sharp.
  • Engine: NUMBERS MATCHING, Fresh rebuild with less than 8,000 miles since completion, recent tune-up (plugs, wires, points/condenser if applicable, carb sync, etc.) — runs strong, idles smoothly, pulls hard through all four gears, no smoke or unusual noises.
  • Drives great — Excellent driver that handles, stops, and shifts crisply; fun on back roads or highway cruises.
  • Sheet Metal- this GTO has ALL of the sheet metal it was born with. It is the cleanest GTO you will ever see. There is not a single patch panel on the car.

Other Notable Features:

  • Functional Ram Air III induction with cold-air scoops (working as intended).
  • Factory-correct Judge badging, rear spoiler, and stripes.
  • 4-speed manual with Hurst shifter.
  • Safe-T-Track limited-slip rear end.
  • Power steering and brakes for easy driving.
  • Original-style wheels/tires (or period-correct if upgraded—happy to clarify in questions).

This Judge is a true survivor-quality piece: not a ground-up trailer queen, but a highly original, mechanically fresh example you can enjoy immediately while it appreciates. It's been garage-kept, starts on the first crank (cold or hot), and has been driven regularly enough to stay sorted.

Mileage on the odometer is 25,450.

PHS paperwork, notarized letter stating ownership chain comes with car (I am third owner). Serious inquiries only—happy to provide more photos, videos (cold start, driving, undercarriage, engine bay close-ups showing matching stamps), or arrange a PPI inspection at your expense.

I love this car but am thinning the heard to fund college for my first child...
