This vehicle was originally built for George Barris by Dick Dean for use in the TV series called Knight Rider, starring David Hasselloff. One of the crew that worked for George was a young man named Joe Radzierez. Joe duplicated the Knight Rider car that was used as a promotional vehicle on the East Coast for George east coast representative Andy Perillo. Joe also restored one of George original KITT cars. The car was used as a promotional vehicle and has appeared in many shows and events with David Hasselloff. The car has been recognized by major promoters as a unique special effects car since it includes all the features of 4 cars that appeared on the TV show.I acquired that car when George Barris estate was sold in 2018 at Mecum Auctions. There is a David Hasselhoff signature inside the driver’s door and a George Barris signature on the corresponding door jamb. The 5.0-liter V8 was factory equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 145 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. Edelbrock valve covers are fitted. The gaskets, belts, spark plugs, coils and hoses have been replaced in 2018. In2023: Engine oil and filter changed, differential and transmission fluid flushed.Car has a clean title and registration from Montana.
