1969 Pontiac Grand Prix Model J Additional Info:
1969 Pontiac Grand Prix Model J purchased from the estate of the original owner. The car is equipped with the original matching numbers drivetrain, 400 V-8 and TH400 transmission. The paint appears to be all original in crystal turquoise (faded) with parchment interior. The options besides the auto transmission are power drivers seat, tilt wheel, tinted glass, front and rear floor mats (still in outstanding condition), am radio with rear speaker, and door edge guards. I added the Rally II wheels as I think the car looks so much better with them (original wheels, tires and hubcaps come with the car). The car comes with the original dealer invoice pictured as well as the original Pontiac owners, shop and bodymanuals.
The is very straight and rust free car that runs and drives fantastic. There are some strange dings on the car that correlates with someone who probably drove the car longer than they should have had a license. The interior is in great condition other than some tears in the drivers seat and hairline cracks on the top of the driver door panel. All chrome and bright work in excellent condition. All brakes, lights, wipers, seat and other options work well, slight oil leak at front crank seal. The tires have good tread, but are old and may not be good for a cross country drive.
The car has newer exhaust, waterpump, battery, plug wires and original carb rebuilt. The Grand Prix still has its original spiral shocks which still perform quite well.
I cleaned up the engine compartment quickly, just to confirm that the paint is all original (brake booster still retains most of its plating.
Full payment is due within 7 days of auction end, please do not bid if you do not have proper funds or financing in place. The car is for sale locally so the auction could end at any time.
