Sadly I am selling my 1974 Pontiac Firebird Esprit with the "Rockford Files" look. Regarded as true to be the original 41k actual miles and powered by the original 350 V8 5.7L engine, and automatic transmission. Still has the original AM radio and original owners manual and 2 sets of keys. The previous owner purchased it from a collector in Arizona; believed to be the original owner, but I'm not 100% sure. I purchased it from the following owner who restored it beginning in 2017. It is my understanding and clearly seen that the car was completely stripped of all trim, badging, weather stripping, and interior panels before paint. After some rust repairs were made (with some filler) in the rear quarters below the body line (see pics,) the car was painted the 1974 Factory Denver Gold (not original to the car.) I would rate the paint conservatively at 8.5 out of 10 having only 2 tiny blemishes and one 2" spot on the rear bumper just below the license plate that started to peel. I keep the car extremely clean and currently it is almost entirely rust free except for one tiny spot on each side just in front of the rear tires (see pics.) There is also some early stages of rust on the interior surface of the trunk pan, (see pics) which has been treated with some rust inhibitor and primed. Because I like to keep the car is extremely clean, I installed some clear body wrap strips behind all 4 tires just below the body line to protect the paint from any road rash. These strips can easily be removed. The car is also extremely clean underneath (see pics.) with no evidence of rust. The restoration included new carpet, new upholstery, new tires, new exhaust, new weather stripping, new trim and new badging all the way around. Headliner is tight and looks nice and no cracks in the dash. As for the mechanicals...the Bird runs great, shifts smooth, doesn't smoke, sounds nice and is a joy to drive and show. It has what would be considered normal for age, very tiny drops of oil on the floor after parked. All lights work, all gauges work (oil pressure gauge reads slightly high, but everything checks out ok.) All fluids routinely serviced and maintained. All A/C components are present, but it does not blow cold. May just need a recharge. I probably have more pictures I could send upon request. Clean and clear PA title in my name. I have tried to describe the car to the best of my knowledge and it is Sold AS-IS with no warranty or implied warranty. $500 non-refundable deposit within 24hrs from auction ending and full payment due within 7 days of auction ending (unless other arrangements are agreed upon first.)
