***Priced for quick sale! The engine alone is worth $5000 and the chrome work cost north of $3000, so, starting this at only 5k means you're WAY ahead of the game.***
This 1952 Pontiac was converted to a hearse/first call vehicle by the Barnette Company of Memphis Tennessee.Very few were built, making this a rare specimen. It was purchased by the Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home of Lewiston, Idaho in the spring of 1954, and remained in service at Vassar Rawls until August 1995.
It is fairly complete, minus the motor and transmission which was swapped for a more modern 350 engine and automatic trans.
It is currently an unfinished project that we just don't have time for with our busy schedules. A lot of work has already been completed and lots of new parts ordered. The front end and engine bay has been plasted and painted, new suspension bushings installed. The aforementioned 350 engine and trans is bolted in, Edelbrock carb, flamethrower pertronix distributor, mufflers, all chrome has been redone already. The curved rear door glass is in great shape.
Needs body and paint touch ups, flat glass, interior redone, but all panels and curtains are there to make templates, and I would recommend some new dash and engine bay wiring.
