This Numbers matching Frame off Restored 1 of 12,798 Convertible 1966 GTO was originally custom ordered as potentially 1 of 1 Finished in Cameo Ivory with a white power convertible top and Parchment interior. The Numbers Matching Original 389cid engine has been completely rebuilt at 32,200 shown miles and upgraded with +.30 over pistons, turned crank, bearings and full head and valve wor, everything on this engine is dated correctly except for the heads which were upgraded to 670 heads from late '66(67 HO heads). Putting all that power to the ground is a 4-speed wide ratio transmission with low 1st gear, proper Hurst shift handle with new walnut shift knob, 3.55:1 Safe-T-Track rear end, and Firestone 7.75 X 14 Deluxe Champion redline tires. Finished in August 2002 this Frame off restoration brought back to life this 1966 GTO still retaining its full original sheet metal creating an incredible #2 show vehicle.
