Up for bidding a 1962 Pontiac Lemans Convertible with Air Conditioning and a Power Convertible Top. This car is equipped with the 194.5 cu in (3.2 L) inline-four cylinder, 4-barrel carbureted engine. This car has the high compression 166 horsepower version. For the 1962 model year, the LeMans remained a trim package that was now also available in the convertible body style. This was a highly optioned build when the original owner ordered it.

The car runs and drives well. It needs new tires. The car is a great candidate for restoration which would yield a very rare highly optioned 1962 Lemans. The power convertible top motor needs to be serviced and there is no top material, just the convertible frame and hardware.

The body is in good shape. We believe this car spent part of its life in California. It has been stored indoors in Michigan for the last 35+ years. Actual mileage is unknown.

The floor pans and truck pan are in good or decent shape. The rear seat pans are in good shape. The driver’s pan would likely need to be replaced if you were doing a restoration. There are some pin holes in the rear of the truck pan that could be addressed without replacing the truck pan. If a person wanted to drive this car, they could put carpeting in and go. Just depends on what the buyer is looking to do.

Brakes are working. The engine does not have any oil leaks. Transmission does not leak. The fuel pump was just rebuilt. Water pump has just been rebuilt with a new seal.

The car is missing some of the chrome trim. We have the bumpers and front grill which are included. The car comes with the air conditioning compressor, but is not installed in the car.

Not included with this auction, but available separately a 215 cubic inch aluminum block V8 engine that produced 190 horsepower.
