1970 Pontiac Le Mans Additional Info:

1970 Pontiac Lemans Sport which has been re-created as a GTO Tribute/Clone. The car starts, drives and stops but does need a bit more TLC to be a show and daily driver. It is mostly orginal wth the 1970 350 motor, transmission and drive-train. It is an original Atoll Blue car that now has a GTO steel hood, front end and appointments. Has the 1972 side swoosh and large powerful white-letter tires.

The car is a mid-western car which does have some rust on the pans, but as the pics show, nothing that is severe. Trunk pan and body are in very good shape and has been recently re-painted with urethane. The body is a solid B+ and does have some dings, waves and evidence that it is a 53 year old car. Doors close solidly but the hood and trunk could use a little adjustment to line-up perfectly, but they all close tightly and latch. The interior was black but the previous owner "smurfed" it and dyed it blue and added new carpeting.

I am calling it a project because it needs some little bits of works yet (I am out of money and space) it needs:

a. headliner

b. carburetor adjustment or upgrade

c. chrome trim on passenger side windshield

d. radio & horn

e. transmission cable adjustment because it is off a bit when you shift (the arrow doesn't line up with the letter

f. back bumper is scratched and shows its age

Here are the new parts on the car:

a. new paint, and interior color (has 67-68 seats which need to be bolted in after headliner install)

b. new GTO steel hood & front-end, with half-moon headlights & emblems

c. new decals & emblems, and GTO front lower spoiler

d. new brake lines and booster

e. new 2bbl carburetor

f. new spark plugs and wires and has been recently timed and tuned

g. new trunk lock and mechanism & mat and new back seat cushion and package tray material

h. new painted Rally II stock Pontiac wheels, caps, trim-rings and lug-nuts

Essentially, if you can or won't pay the 70-90K for a true 1970 GTO here is super nice head-turner for a fraction of the cost. This car is almost done and needs a new caretaker to finish her off. I have enjoyed it and am out of space. I have my eye on new projects for fall. The car has a clear & open Illinois title ready for a new owner.Winner to pay with cash or bank wire and car can be removed when full payment is made. Please ask any questions before bidding. I can take more pics or videos. Thanks for looking 630-608-3978, located in Oswego, IL.
