real 67 gto project i am working on in northwood by toledo. currently doing 2! first a gold 67 bad frame with phony 66 lemans vin tag/title. next I got a donor 67 body for the vin but it was too nice to remove tag basically killing a real 242 car, cant do it so i got a 67 gto 4 speed frame from my friend and cleaned it up and painted it.. it needs minor welding at gas tank extension on driver side bottom, just cosmetic not really needed. needs 5 mount area washers welded in and new front springs. comes with a75 pontiac 350 with 5C heads and a 4 bbl. complete but needs shop work done. car has new 4 speed pedals a rebuilt 65-67 m 20 muncie 4 speed trans, bell housing, new clutch and pressure plate. flywheel needs turned. have crossmember, need driveshaft. Body is a linden green paint code with black buckets and console interior. needs seats and console. I was converting it to a 4 speed painted thenew gm red. I bought the green gto body for the PHS and vin for my gold 67 gto with a 66 lemans vin riveted to it. real problem..still need a vin/title now. anyway the body while needing considerable welding, most are easy to hide channel patches . the floor and trunk are solid needing free donor steel patches not the big money floor/trunk pans. harder to find projects that have useable floors. has all glass but vent assembly . all trim but r bumper/t lid area and the wide rockers. has all the wiring but the engine harness. f bumpers useable driver shape. I like 66 gto grills on my 67s. so you pick either 66 header/lemans grills or 67 mesh grills/valence. no 67 header or surrounds. need to buy tail panel,t lid, r bumper, vent assys,interior and grill surrounds/header or 66 gto grills,radiator,springs and some odds and ends. no lowballers, if it doesnt sell i will set it back for future project. impossible to find good 67 gto projects anymore. i had 40 1965-68 gto,lemans and tempests. my 67 was in detroit autorama twice! this is a good project car for sure. might consider partial trades for needs to finish my gold car. have tons of pix ask for more as this is ltd to 18
