1976 Pontiac Trans Am Coupe Additional Info:
Very sharp 1976 Black Pontiac Trans Am in a rare color combination!
Black w/Red interior 6.6L V8, 3-speed automatic transmission.
Pontiac celebrated its 50th anniversary year in 1976. To commemorate this event, Pontiac unveiled a special edition Trans Am option. Painted in black with gold accents, this was the first “anniversary” Trans Am package and the first production Black and Gold special edition. This was the last year for the 455ci engine.
So, this very cool and very original example features a Black exterior with an unusual, but very sharp Red interior. It does not have a T-top, which is probably a good thing, and features a 6.6L (400ci) with a 3-spd. automatic transmission. It’s got just a bit over 17k (owner states original) miles and it looks like it’s been very gently used from new! The paint and interior are absolutely pristine with very little wear. Options include auto, air conditioning, power windows, power locks (on the dash switch), tilt wheel and rear defrost. It starts right up, idles smooth and runs, shifts, and stops just like a time capsule T/A should!
