1932 Pontiac Series 302 Coupe Additional Info:

As quoted from an article in Hemmings Motor News "the limited production 1932 V-8 model is something of a holy grail". Built only 3 months, then replaced by a straight 8. It would be the only prewar Pontiac V-8 ever made. Believed to have 39,000 miles. Overall very solid and restored to good condition.
EXTERIOR: the body is actually very solid. I don't see signs of rust or significant damage. The doors shut very nicely, they don't drop. It has been repainted the two tone combination of Tacoma cream and marron. The paint is very smooth and glossy. You will find some minor imperfections if you look for them. It has been hand pin striped. It's a good looking 5 window coupe. Features include dual side mount tires with metal covers, fender mounted lights, dual horns, a trunk rack with a trunk. It also has wire wheels that are painted the body color. The wide white wall tires look new. Overall the chrome is nice. It has original bumpers and headlights. The radiator shell and the "bird in flight" hood ornament has been rechromed. It has metal doors on the hood that open. The roof vinyl insert is real nice. The original rubber running boards are intact but they have cracks. It looks like all the glass is excellent, I believe the windshield is safety glass.
INTERIOR: Sitting in this car is certainly a trip back in time. I really like the ornate art deco style handles, dash bezel and visor bracket. The gray mohair upholstery on the seats and door panels has been replaced. The instruments are in pretty good condition. Carpet has been replaced. The steering wheel is not cracked. They have added turn signals to the steering column. The rear window rolls down and the windshield rolls up, that's 1932 version of air conditioning.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Very rare V-8. The 251 makes 85 hp. It was recently tuned, has new spark plugs. It runs smoothly. It does he have the optional exhaust manifold heater, it's missing some of the ductwork. Things appear to be over all proper and in good condition.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Solid. Has new rubber mat. It still has it's trough hooked up that catches rear window leaks. There are boxes of extra parts and extra paint too.
UNDERSIDE: Appears to be very solid and proper. The trans and motor are dated 1932. Exhaust system looks good, fuel tank looks clean.
Great piece of automotive history. Sporty looking coupe with many features. This isn't a bottom of line economy car. That V-8 makes it very collectable!
